Updates on NN

NN has been really cranky and too reliable on me these few days. 

Her barking/whining/cries have decreased and improved quite a lot. 

But my 2nd problem now is that, SHE BITES/NIPS/MOUTHS me!!

She aims my fingers, toes, ankles, clothes wherever she finds it convenient she will bite me.

Any puppy experts here pls save me!

Its really really hard to take a picture of her because she knows whenever we flip our phones out, we want a picture and she will look away. Just like Javier!!! Madness!!!

I have to make all sorts of funny noises like whining, snorting to make her look my way. =.=

Good thing is that she's growing, I can tell =) 

I can't wait for her to grow up and be a big girl so I can buy a meimei for her to play with!! Hehee~ 

Baby's 24th Birthday + Prive Cafe

24th April 2013

Baby's 24th birthday! This year we didn't go overseas to celebrate mainly because he got a new job (difficult to take leave) and we just bought our precious babygirl Niuniu.

So it was just a simple one this year.

First off, we cut cake at my place, I chose this Polar Blackforest cake (mainly because my dad doesn't eat chocolate =/, dont know he birthday or my bf birthday)

On his actual day, both of us took a day's leave and he slept till noon. I prepared handmade breakfast for him. My all time 拿手好菜..... 

TADAH!!

Bacon, egg and ham sandwich. I KNOW RIGHT, easy to do la. 

I brought baby out for a movie I wanted to watch (hahaha), "Olympus has Fallen". 

Baby asked "Olympus not the camera brand meh?" Meh.

Afterwhich, I brought him to this cafe by the bay for dinner. I googled and researched painstakingly for an awesome view dinner (and affordable) of course.

So we arrived at Prive Cafe @ Keppel Bay.

Baby's was (as usual) fish and chips and mine I chose something exotic this time; Grilled chicken with spices. 

And sure I got an exotic experience. 

While eating, I noticed 1 fruitfly buzzing around my veggie servings. Then slowly, 2, 3, 4 fruitflies, all buzzing around my food. I wondered why they didn't buzz around bf's food. THEN, IT FUCKING LANDED ON MY FOOD AND STOPPED THERE.

I shoved it away but it just stuck there.

Goodness, totally killed my appetite. Told the waiter to clear it away for me and I only ate the side dishes like onion rings and chicken wings. Damn bad. 

Totally SIAN and waited for baby to finish his food. Wanted to just pay the bill and leave quickly. 

Luckily they waived off the Grilled Chicken for me else I will make a complain. 

Overall, ambience I have no issue. The food is so-so only not so great and the fruitflies made it worse. 

Don't think I'm going back there again though =/

Birthday gift I got for my baby, I know he's been wanted a branded wallet. I haven't been getting anything that's branded lately. Hope he likes it! 

10 weeks & 2 days old

Hi everybody!!

妞妞 has been with us for 1 week and has totally grown attached to me until she's too dependent............

She totally treats me like her mom. Whenever I'm out of her sight, she will whine and cry for help. I also want to cry for help T_____T

I have tried means and ways to calm her down but she just wants to come out of her crate to play. I have allowed her to have full access to my bedroom only after she has eliminated.

She's getting way too hyperactive until I want to strangle her. She keeps hopping around like a bunny cos I don't think she can walk properly yet.

My major problem is that I think she doesn't have enough time to exercise due to our hectic work schedule and she would be waking up whining and crying to want to come out of her crate at 3am or other ungodly hours. I have totally no idea what to do as reprimanding her would also give her "attention". I just hope for her to grow up quickly so we could train her.

Its just another 2 weeks more to her 3rd vaccination so I can bring her to the petshop to socialize with other pets and people.

9 weeks & 6 days old

Baby NN is 9 weeks and 6 days old today~ She is getting better in terms of her whining. Toned down QUITE alot, no longer sharp piercing barking/whining/crying. I tried getting her to sleep together with me in my bedroom (she's in her crate of course), she didn't wake up at 6am crying!!! :) I got more sleep as a matter of fact. She's been trying I know. I trained her throughout the weekend when I'm not working. I put her in the crate, when she make noise, I go into the room and close the door. When she stops for 1 minute, I go over pick her up and gave her a small treat. I repeated this and prolonged the time frame (2 mins, 3 mins, etc). She started to get the hang of it and I'm pleased! Poodles are really clever dogs!

However, I think its the problem with the treats I bought, she starts to have really loose and soft stools now till the extent of watery sometimes. :(

Her diet is the same, she's feeding on ANF Puppy Hollistic as instructed by the breeder. I stopped giving her treats now and only giving her lots of praises when she does something right. I will be bringing her to the vet if it doesn't stop tomorrow.

In addition, she stinks now due to the stepping of her poo all over in her crate. I have been researching and watching youtube videos on how to handle and bathe such a small puppy, especially when she is wriggly, like  a worm!

She is starting to get more submissive now, she rolls onto her back to allow me to tickle her and brush her~ Although at times there are still some soft whinings, I don't reprimand her very much for it cos its getting softer~

She's in the teething period now and she really loves to bite my fingers whenever I pick her up. I don't know what I can do to make it better except to say a very loud NO! when she does that.

I'm trying very very hard to be a good mama to NN! Jiayou!!!

妞妞 the toy poodle

I had to record this down somewhere as my memory is still fresh. Yes, I bought a new puppy and yes she's a Toy Poodle. I bought her when she was only 7 weeks old and waited for the longggggest 2 weeks plus to bring her home. We named her 妞妞. I was super happy to get a Female puppy as I loved pink and I could wear her in cute pink clothes! I couldn't wait!!! 

When I bought her home, she was already 9 weeks & 1 day old. Daddy drove me back home and while on Mandai Road, she peed on my hands as I was carrying her and wet daddy's cushion. I didn't get angry at her as she was just a puppy and couldn't hold her bladder very well. 

Before that, I had already prepared all the necessities; Crate, food, blankets, treats, brush etc. 

I introduced her to her crate and let her in. She was excited and sniffed all over her crate. She laid in there and napped for a few hours. I was told not to play with her for 1 week. I placed an old-tshirt half of the cage and the other half was meant for her to eliminate. 

She was pretty excited and kept wagging her tail. We fed her dinner at 6pm sharp and she peed and pooed immediately after that. We cleaned her up and put her back into her crate. She had toys to keep her entertained but she got bored of them after awhile. 

Her first night.....

She slept at about 11.00pm and we had a nice sleep until..........

6am (9 weeks and 2 days old)

She barked, cried, whined at the highest pitch at the most ungodly hour. I only wake up to prepare for work at 7.00am but she woke up 1 hour earlier. I didn't know what to do, so I fed her food, cleaned her up and put her back into her crate. She whined but just slightly softer and then when I walked back into my room and kept the door ajar so she could still see me, she stopped. I went ahead to prepare for work and left home about 8.15am. I left home with a heavy heart. 

She would be left home alone from 9.00am all the way until about 1.30pm when my siblings returned from school. I was so goddamn worried during work that I kept rushing my siblings to go back home to have a look at her. 

So, my brother was the first to reach home and he called to say that NN pooed and she stepped all over her own shit. My brother helped to clean her up and also the cage. 

By the time I reached home, it was already 6.30pm. Baby and I shared responsibility by him washing and scrubbing the cage while I wiped NN with babywipes (we were advised only to bathe her 1 week later). 

Again, we prepared her for bed, this time she slept at about 9.00pm. I left a night lamp beside her crate for her and also a ticking clock on the top of her crate. As she just got separated from her littermates, she would be missing them and the ticking clock would represent a littermates' heartbeat. She slept through the night and I prepared to wake up at 6.00am to feed her.

True enough, the barking alarm clock woke me up again at 6.00pm sharp with her high pitch crying. I let her out, fed her and put back her into the crate. This time round, she CRIED even harder and whined even louder. I almost lose it!! I didn't know what to do. I ignored her cries but it was only 6plus in the morning and my entire family was awaken by her cries. I went to take a look at her and saw that she soiled her crate again. She pooed all over and the entire crate was full of her shit. I was mad!!!!! But I didn't lose my temper at her. I changed the shirts to a brand new one so she would feel more comfortable. She was placed back in her crate again and her whines got softer and eventually she stopped. I went back to bed as usual. 

Most of the time when nobody walks pass her crate she would be napping or playing with her toys. I have complete silence and it was bliss!! Once you have ANY eye contact with her she would be wagging her tail like mad and whining like a mad bitch. I am devastated. I cannot wait for her to get used to her new environment so that I can start training her. I have done research and understand the first 10 days is usually hell for owners. I will not give up and will not succumb to her cries.

Random updates

Speaking of random. I blogged this during my freetime.

Last weekend baby brought me to the Charles & Keith warehouse sales @ Tai Seng. It was really far and luckily we drove there. It was mad crowded and you gotta be really agressive there in order to squeeze into the crowd to get your shoe size. I think I did quite a good job cos I bought 5 pairs of heels (2 for work and 3 for casual/going-out wear purpose) for a total of $96, round up $100. Average 1 pair cost only about $20!!! Mad cheap can? I LOVE SALES but I hate carrying the awfully heavy plastic bags. Luckily my bf was there to carry them for me :X

He's sucha sweetie, he always help me carry my shopping loots without any complaints. 真是没话说！

See! I got evidence!

Afterwhich, he brought me to Bugis for MORE shopping. But my main purpose was to go there to do pedicure! I seriously need pedicure cos I'm wearing heels everyday and those dead skin keeps piling up.

Taken while doing my foot scrub in the nail parlour. I usually frequent Milly's for my nails pampering session. Look for Gina when you're there! She has the same name as me but different spelling, it sounds weird whenever I call her name. As though I'm calling myself. Hahaha~

More camwhore pictures~ I'm sorry but I'm in love with my newly purchased lower lashes! They resemble Melliesh #05 lower lash. They're so cheap and good! I love long and thick lower lashes!

And and and, I just HAD to share this. My new My Melody Iphone casing!!!!! I'm excited beyond words when I opened the parcel!! I waited for 1 month for this cutie!!

Those who are using Iphone 5 or Samsung, ARE YOU JEALOUS? LOL super guai lan one!!

Okay enough.

Baby and I are going to "Paradise" again for a 4D3N getaway cum my 21st birthday celebration! This trip there I'm going get X'mas presents for my colleagues (cos its cheaper there LOL).

In addition, I'm super excited cos its going to be Winter soon and I can wear all fluffy, cutesy and I can wear knee-high boots!! Its not as though I have not worn boots in my life before its just that if you wear boots in Singapore, you'll probably die of heatstroke.

Totally cannot describe how excited I am!!

Zoo Zoo Zoo

After 2 years of begging and persuading, baby finally found time to bring me to the Zoo! 

Haven't been there in years and I missed that place! 

It was a bright sunny Sunday and I remembered it was the start of September school holidays, 02 Sept!

I personally like this one. They are Otters, and they are always in a group. Super sensitive to whistle voices.

The last 2 white tigers left~ I SWEAR this crazy tiger walked to and fro for more than 20x when people were looking~

Big big elephant, didn't have a chance to sit on it cos the Q was mad long.

Orangutans are the smartest ever!! I was just looking at it from far when it suddenly posed for my camera!

The weather was crazily warm so my hair was all tied up and clipped.

The giraffes are so tall it made me wonder how in the first place they got shipped to SG like that??
